In-Home Help
Keeping older adults and persons with disabilities in the community is the goal of many programs offered through the River Valley Regional Commission Area on Aging.
Community-based care is often less expensive than care in a facility…. drawing on the person’s network of friends and family for informal support. Community-based care also lessens the likelihood that the person will become isolated and/or experience depression.
Programs that help support older adults and persons with disabilities to move back into or to stay in the community:
• Options Counseling
• Money Follows the Person
• Elderly and Disabled Waiver Progam
• Home and Community Based Services Program
• Case Management
• Independence Matters
• Other Support Services
Please call us at 1-800-615-4379 and speak to one of our counselors who can assist you with information about available In-Home Help options in your area.
