WorkNOW, the Middle Flint Workforce Development System:

Local Governance

Middle Flint Workforce Investment Board provides policy guidance on the design and operation of the Middle Flint Workforce Development System.

The River Valley Regional Commission administers the Workforce System on behalf of the Middle Flint Workforce Investment Board.

Implementation of workforce development services in the eight counties of Crisp, Dooly, Macon, Marion, Schley, Sumter, Taylor and Webster is based on the Federal Workforce Investment Act of 1998.

Area Employers and Businesses

Our Services:  

On-the-Job Training (OJT) – Earn a pay check while you’re being trained. Learn the skills, keep the job.  

Individual Training Account (ITA) – Pays for training for a specific occupation or program of study.   

Youth Services – Work experiences, work readiness skills, occupational skills and success-building for youth (specific service eligibility criteria must be met).
